Both the TAM staff & TAMA members were thrilled with the article which appeared in the Los Angeles Times about the new exhibition 'Another Thing Coming'.
If you've not yet been to the TAM to see this truly extraordinary collection of sculpture, make plans to do so soon! It's really amazing to see some cutting edge and historically significant artwork. The essay, 'Here's the Thing' by former TAM curator Jason Ramos provides a fairly cerebral and in-depth look at this exhibition.
TAM Curator Lisa DeSmidt has also put together some resources for those wishing to learn a bit more about both the artists and the historical references to artists associated with this show.
At first glance this exhibition might seem like one to just walk through, but upon closer examination, each piece has a very interesting and thought-provoking story behind it; the artists themselves have provided some background on their pieces which help the viewer better understand what the artwork is all about.
